LQt Technology

More from every watt.

LQt is patented transducer loading developed by Richard Dalbec of Dalbec Audiolab — the engineer who voiced the room at Studio 54. It is the reason a cabinet you can hang on the wall behaves like a system you’d tour with.

For decades the industry has answered “louder and lower” the same way: a bigger box, a heavier magnet, more amplifier. It works, in the sense that a forklift works. You get the output, and you also get cabinets the size of furniture, racks of heat, and an electrician on the invoice.

LQt starts from the other end. Instead of feeding more power into a driver and accepting the losses, it changes how the driver is loaded — how the cone couples to the air it has to move. More of every watt leaves the cabinet as clean sound pressure instead of dying inside it as heat. Same driver, same amplifier, decisively more music.

That efficiency is the whole trick, and everything you feel in the room falls out of it: cabinets roughly half the weight of comparable systems, coverage wider than 90 degrees, reference peaks above 135 dB — and the entire rig drawing from one ordinary household outlet, not a panel upgrade.

The sweep

35 Hz to 20 kHz, with room to spare.

135 dB 35 Hz 100 1k 10k 20 kHz

The shape that matters: smooth through the band your movies actually live in, with headroom past the 135 dB reference line — so the loud parts arrive with ease, not strain.

Outcomes

What the loading buys you.

  • ½weightof comparable cabinets
  • 90°+coverage — every seat works
  • 135+dBreference peaks
  • 1outlet15–20 A, the one you have

In your living room

Do the arithmetic in a real room and the engineering turns into furniture-level facts. Half the weight means the mains hang flat on the wall from a bracket, not a reinforced stud bay. Ninety-degree coverage means the good seat is the whole sofa, plus the armchair nobody fights over. And one outlet means install day involves a level and a drill — not an electrician, not a permit, not a hole in the wall to the panel.

The hardware that carries it is four pieces deep. Meet the system

The proof is a demo, not a datasheet.

An hour in your room tells you more than any curve. Bring the movie you know by heart.
